Curtains in Askari Lahore for Houses and Apartments, Fitted On Site

Curtains for Askari houses and apartments, measured at home

Ordering curtains in Askari Lahore works the same way for a house or a flat: our team visits, measures the width and length of each window, stitches every panel to those sizes and comes back to fit them. Book on WhatsApp at 0324 492 4274.

The Askari schemes are part of the housing work of the Army Welfare Trust, which was set up in 1971 and launched housing schemes in Lahore in 1991, according to its Wikipedia entry. Today the Lahore schemes include both houses and apartment buildings, and the curtains each one needs are quite different.

Apartments: smaller windows and balcony doors

In a flat, most windows are compact and the balcony door is often the largest opening. A two panel velvet or silk set covers these without crowding the room. For the balcony door, we measure the drop to the floor and check that the drawn-back panel clears the handle. If your building has rules about what can be fixed to the walls, tell us before the visit and we will work with the rods already in place.

Houses: every window measured on its own

Even where neighbouring houses look alike, window sizes can differ by a few inches after finishing work. We measure each window instead of assuming one size for all. For the drawing room, a four piece set of velvet with white chiffon behind gives privacy at night and light in the day. It needs two rods or a double bracket. Bedrooms suit two panel laser cut or monogram velvet. Compare the designs on our fancy curtains page.

Moving in after a posting

Many families move into a new house or flat at short notice. Eyelet curtains help here: the stainless steel rings slide onto a round rod with no hooks to fix, and when you move again, the panels lift straight off. We check the rod diameter during the visit, because a thick rod will not pass through a standard ring.

How we take the order and fit

Message us with your scheme, sector and whether it is a house or flat. We visit to measure, confirm the design and panel count for every window, and a 50 percent advance starts stitching. When the curtains are ready, we bring them and hang them. The fitting date and any charges are agreed on WhatsApp before work starts. Our curtain designs guide explains width and drop if you would like to read first.

Common questions

Do you fit curtains in Askari apartments?

Yes. We measure and fit in flats as well as houses. Tell us the building and floor so we can plan access and gate entry.

Can I take eyelet curtains with me when I move?

Yes. They lift off the rod in a few minutes. They will fit your next home if it has a round rod and windows of a similar drop.

Which set suits a small apartment lounge?

A two panel velvet or silk set in a medium colour. It needs one rod and takes up less space than a four piece set.
