Curtains stitched and fitted for Bahria houses and apartments

Curtains in Bahria Town Lahore have to suit two very different kinds of home. Houses in the society's six sectors, A to F, come in 5 marla, 10 marla and 1 kanal sizes, while its apartment blocks have flats of roughly 700, 800 and 936 square feet, according to Graana's guide to the society. For either, our team visits, measures the width and length of each window, stitches to those sizes and fits the curtains.

Apartment windows need lighter, shorter sets

In a flat, the windows are usually smaller and the balcony door is often the biggest opening in the room. A two panel silk or plain velvet set suits these windows better than a heavy four piece set, which can crowd a compact lounge. For a balcony door, we measure the drop to the floor and check that the panel clears the door handle when it is drawn back.

Upper floor flats also take more direct sun. The U.S. Department of Energy reports that medium coloured draperies with white backing can reduce heat gain by about 33 percent when drawn during the day. A medium shade such as beige, grey or soft gold works well for a sunny flat.

Houses suit eyelet velvet sets and double parda in the lounge

In a 10 marla or 1 kanal house, the main lounge can carry a four piece set: two velvet panels with two white chiffon panels behind them. It needs two rods or a double bracket. Bedrooms work well with two panel laser cut or monogram velvet, which hang on a round rod from stainless steel eyelet rings. Browse the full range on our fancy curtains page.

One trip for the whole house saves time

The society sits well outside central Lahore, about 15 kilometres beyond Thokar Niaz Baig, so we plan measuring and fitting for every room together rather than coming back for one window at a time. Book on WhatsApp at 0324 492 4274 and we measure every room in one visit.

We confirm the design and panel count for each window, then a 50 percent advance starts stitching. When the set is ready, we bring it and hang it. The fitting date and any charges are agreed with you on WhatsApp before the work begins.

Common questions

Do you fit curtains in apartments as well as houses?

Yes. We measure, stitch and fit curtains for flats and houses in every sector. For a flat, tell us the floor and building so we can plan access.

Which curtains suit a small apartment lounge?

A two panel set in silk or plain velvet, in a medium colour. It covers the window without taking up space the way a four piece set does.

Can you fit curtains for all my rooms on the same day?

We measure every room in one visit, so the full order can be stitched together and fitted in one trip rather than room by room.
