Fitted curtains for houses, portions and rented homes

Many homes here are rented, or split into upper and lower portions, so curtains here have to fit the rods already on the wall and move with you when you change house. Eyelet curtains do both. We measure each window at your home, stitch curtains in Johar Town Lahore to those sizes and hang them on your existing round rods, with no new fittings needed in most cases.

A busy area with many families on the move

The area is named after Mohammad Ali Jauhar and is laid out in two phases, with blocks A to G in Phase I and G to R in Phase II, according to its Wikipedia entry. The same source lists the University of Central Punjab, the University of Management and Technology and the Bahria University Lahore Campus nearby, along with several major hospitals. That mix brings many families, staff and students who rent and move every few years.

Why eyelet curtains suit a rented house

Every set in our fancy range has stainless steel eyelet rings sewn into the top. The rings slide straight onto a round rod, so there are no hooks, clips or tracks to install. When you move, you lift the panels off the rod and take them with you.

The one thing to check is the rod. When we come to measure, we check its diameter, because a thick rod will not pass through a standard ring, and confirm the wall has a rod rather than a track. If the window is a different size in your next house, a curtain stitched with a little extra width usually still works, as long as the drop is close.

Picking a set for the main rooms

For a drawing room, a four piece set gives the fullest look: two velvet panels with two white chiffon panels behind. It needs two rods or a double bracket, which not every rented house has. A two panel laser cut or monogram velvet set needs only one rod, so it is the simpler choice if you are unsure what your next home will have. Compare the designs on our fancy curtains page.

Common questions

Can you fit curtains in a rented portion?

Yes. We fit curtains in rented houses and portions. Eyelet curtains hang on the round rods already in the house, so in most cases nothing new needs to be drilled into the wall.

Will my curtains fit if I move to another house?

Usually, if the new rod is round and the windows are a similar size. The drop matters more than the width, so measure the new windows before you move.

Which set needs only one rod?

Any two panel set, such as laser cut or monogram velvet. Four piece velvet and chiffon sets need two rods or a double bracket.
